Grade 12 plus National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Environmental Management or Natural Sciences. 0-2 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in Environmental Management. Valid driver’s license. COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of relevant legislation prescripts. Computer Literacy
To regulate compliance with National and Provincial Nature Conservation Legislation by making use of permit inspections and recommendations. To Support the permit application process, responses to permit applications and complaints. To do inspections relating to permit applications received from the general public. The follow-up of and gathering of information pertaining to irregularities and the conviction of perpetrators in Gauteng. To provide inputs in relevant existing Departmental, Provincial, National and International policies and procedure manual, as well as relevant current and future legislation. To promote Inter departmental co-ordination and co-operation, in related matters. Monitor compliance.
