Requirements :
Diploma/ Degree in Diagnostic Radiography. Certificate of registration with HPCSA. Current annual registration with HPCSA. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant profession after registration with the HPCSA. Competencies: Knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures as per Radiation Control Directorate requirements, public service legislation, Policies and procedures. Skills on the following areas: good patient care, organizing, communication, computer literacy, conflict resolution, Interpersonal relationship, accreditation standards, knowledge of specialized procedures and Radiology equipment.
Duties :
Ensure effective and efficient management and supervision of the Radiography services. Adhere and Ensure compliance with Radiation Control Board and HPCSA legislation. Production of high quality diagnostic radiographs in accordance with prescribed protocols. Provision, supervision and management of a 24-Hour Service Delivery. Partake in a 24hr service delivery. Liaise with internal and external Stakeholders. Partake and facilitate staff and student development. Plan and organize the provision of the Radiography services according to the vision and mission statements of the department of Health. Prioritise the implementation of the cost saving measures in accordance with the PFMA. Ensure high level of patient care. Ensure patient safety incident writing and route course analysis is documented, reported and submitted to the relevant stake holders. Communicate with external and internal professionals to ensure patient safety and fair treatment.
