An appropriate NQF level 7 qualification in Social Sciences or Developmental Studies. Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in public sector, experience in the mainstreaming of youth development programme. Computer literacy. strategic leadership, project management, people management and public and motivational speaking. Financial management, Problem solving and customer care skills.
To Develop sector specific policies/ strategies, mainstream youth development within policies and programmes, and to lead in conceptualisation and implementation of sectoral programmes and projects. Coordinate provincial structures that help coordinate youth development at all various levels. Provide analytical research and strategic support as well as coordination role on Gauteng Provincial Government departments in respect of main streaming of youth development issues in their departmental programmes and budgets. Development provincial plan of action on Youth development. Monitoring the implementation of the youth strategy action plan. Development of indicators which indicate a change in status of youth in the Province, assessing impact in improving the lives of youth in Gauteng. Performance review mechanisms established to continuously monitor and evaluate all programmes as informed by the status quo report as well the 5 years Programme of Action (POA).
