Requirements :

Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. Proof of current registration with HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. Must have Matric Certificate. Ability to function independently and be part of a multidisciplinary team. Applicant must be solution-oriented and have good decision-making skills.

Duties :

Ensure effective and efficient obstetrics and gynaecological service delivery. Provide clinical care and treatment. Provide training to Interns and Medical students. Better utilization of resources such as laboratory and blood products. Supervision of undergraduates and interns. Perform compulsory commuted overtime. Ensure compliance with policies/protocols.

It is a legislative requirement that all newly appointed staff members be subjected to Personnel Suitability Checks (PSC) – verification, upon appointment within the Department. This verification process entails reference checks, identity verification, qualifications verification, criminal record checks as well as a credit/financial stability check. Successful candidates will be subjected to OHS medical surveillance as required by HBA regulations within the OHS Act 85 of 1993. Correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only.
