The focus was on building economic resilience and budget sustainability while ensuring high-quality care.

Discussion centred on four core areas: strengthening the care workforce, harnessing digital systems and AI, emphasising prevention and early intervention, and better integrating health, disability and ageing sectors. Participants agreed that by investing in workers’ roles, modernising systems, and promoting proactive care, the sector can become both cost-effective and compassionate.
Reforming care services in this way helps drive better outcomes for vulnerable individuals, while securing long-term value for society and public funds.
