Inclusive drama and dance empower SEND youth

Head2Head Sensory Theatre, a charity providing theatre experiences for individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), has launched a new multi‑sensory drama, dance and musical theatre group called A Sense of Fun.

Designed for children aged 7–13 and young adults aged 14+, A Sense of Fun runs weekly sessions at The Barn Hub near Oxted, Surrey, from September 2025. Classes are kept small (max 12) to ensure individual support through accessible storytelling, creative movement, music, visual narratives and tactile engagement.

Founder Anni Rhodes Steere says: “This innovative programme brings musical theatre to a multi‑sensory environment, tailored to meet the varied sensory, communication, and mobility needs of participants. Facilitated by inspiring professionals, sessions combine accessible storytelling, creative movement and music to engage and inspire every learner.” Performances will include opportunities at G‑Live in Guildford and at The Barn Hub itself.

Head2Head has been championing multi‑sensory theatre since 2006, offering inclusive drama workshops, sensory storytelling, immersive shows and a free YouTube learning channel. Their facilities include a sensory room, Changing Places toilet, and on‑site parking to ensure accessibility for all.
