Buyer at Siemens Energy
In your role as a Buying Administrator you are efficiently executing low value item purchasing processes in line with the given budget. You are securing the supply of material based on customer requirements at the lowest price whilst ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Assist with the update of B-BBEE certificates & supplier information update and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance.
How You’ll Make an Impact

Purchasing of low value goods & services by:
o Assessing assigned purchase requests to ensure clear/logic descriptions, specifications, requested lead times.
o Researching and selecting a reliable suppliers guided by Siemens Energy Supplier Selection Guidelines.
o Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality.
o Evaluating process options and selecting the most appropriate procurement market approach.
o Formulating and issuing RFQ’s using Siemens Energy approved eTools ( SAP Ariba, Siemens Energy Exchange)
o Co-ordinating and leading RFQ evaluations
o Purchasing to comply with the requirements in terms of B-BBEE
o Communicating & Promoting Siemens Energy Safety Requirements to Suppliers

B-BBEE :
o Checking B-BBEE certificates for expiry date & requesting new certificates from suppliers.
o Follow up with suppliers to provide updated certificates and affidavits
o Filling Certificates accordingly in the system.
o Compiling a report on progress of B-BBEE Certificate Updates
o Cost Analysis and Optimization

Supplier Management:
o Collecting & Updating Supplier Information.
o Assist users with requests for Supplier Registration and information updates
o Monitor & Report on Supplier evaluations.
o Co-ordinate and drive supplier qualification

What You Bring
• Qualifications:
o Grade 12 / Diploma in Business Administration or similar
• Experience:
o Minimum 12 months working experience.
