South African para surfer Sabelo Ngema is seeking sponsorship to continue competing and representing his community at national and international events.
In a letter to potential partners, Ngema says his surfing journey began in 2018 and quickly became a career path. The ocean, he writes, offered healing, strength and freedom. Through discipline and resilience he has progressed to para surfing competitions, using his platform to encourage others with disabilities to back their potential.
He says the sport has transformed his life, building confidence, discipline and a strong sense of belonging. He aims to inspire wider participation in sport among people with disabilities.
Ngema is looking for support to cover training, travel, competition entry fees and equipment. He adds that sponsorship would align a brand with a story of resilience, empowerment and hope.
He is willing to represent supporters across social media, interviews and during competitions, and is open to meeting to discuss partnership opportunities.
