People with disabilities have a harder time finding good jobs

According to the last Employment First in Michigan Report, 81 percent of Michigan residents who live with an intellectual or developmental disability are unemployed, while only 9 percent of those without such disabilities are unemployed.

Businesses and non-profit organizations are setting out to help combat this issue by finding good jobs for people with disabilities in the safe and carefully-monitored environment of warehousing. Training and placement programs are making warehouse employment a great, viable option for people who may otherwise have a hard time finding work.
