Santam, a leader in the general insurance industry, is offering an exciting career opportunity for a Motor Merit Theft Desktop Assessor in its Merits Department, based at Hill on Empire, Parktown.
This role focuses on assessing segmented motor theft claims from the desk, verifying events against reported losses, and ensuring valid claims are processed within agreed timeframes. The position also involves identifying red flag claims for further field investigation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and completing claims within SLA
- Validating claims through document checks, interviews, and recordings
- Preparing detailed merit reports
- Liaising with clients, intermediaries, underwriters, service providers, and authorities
- Presenting cases to claims committees and handling related administration
Candidate requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12
- Minimum three years’ experience in short-term motor merit claims or investigations
- Strong investigative and policy interpretation skills
- Knowledge of Santam systems, Abuntex, and BPM advantageous
