SASSA confirms the August 2025 social grant payment schedule and urges all beneficiaries to update their personal details to avoid delays or failed payments.

Payments begin on Tuesday, 5 August with the Older Persons Grant, followed by the Disability Grant on Wednesday, 6 August, and all remaining grants from Thursday, 7 August.
SASSA calls on recipients to check and update their bank details, phone numbers, and addresses—especially if they’ve changed providers or moved. Updates can be done at local offices or through approved channels.
The agency continues to warn against online scams and reminds beneficiaries to rely only on verified communication.
