Millions of South Africans relying on social support now have clarity on their next payments, with the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) confirming the official grant payment dates for July 2025.

Older Persons Grants will be paid from Tuesday, 2 July, Disability Grants from Wednesday, 3 July, and all other Social Grants — including Child Support — will be disbursed from Thursday, 4 July.
SASSA has urged beneficiaries to avoid rushing to collection points on the first day, as funds remain in their accounts until they’re needed. The agency also reminded grant recipients to remain vigilant against scams and to only rely on verified information channels for updates.
With more than 18 million South Africans depending on these payments each month, the agency’s commitment to timely and secure distribution is a critical lifeline for households facing high living costs and unemployment.
Beneficiaries are encouraged to use ATMs, retail outlets, or mobile cash pay points to collect their grants safely and conveniently.
