Innovation, product and service solutions are the cornerstones of the SAB Foundation’s Social Innovation and Disability Empowerment Awards which are designed to empower people living with disabilities, as well as provide opportunities and linkages to income generation.
With the shocking statistics around unemployment in the disability sector, the Foundation has been very intentional about addressing this challenge in particular, through entrepreneurship development.
The Foundation hosted an exhibit at the Disability Summit and Career Expo 2024, showcasing some of the businesses that have been funded through the awards and that are inspirational to the young people who attend the Expo, witnessing actual scenarios where living with a disability is not a barrier.
