The Western Australian Department of Communities has announced that applications are now open for the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) 2025 community grants. The programme, managed by Developmental Disability WA, offers 100 grants of up to AUD 1,000 each to support inclusive local events—from festivals and forums to workshops and art exhibitions—that bring people of all abilities together.

These grants align with the State Disability Strategy 2020–2030, ‘A Western Australia for Everyone’, and seek to enhance accessibility, community connection, and awareness across the region. Eligible applicants include community groups, not‑for‑profits, and local government bodies based in Western Australia. The closing date for applications is 15 September 2025.
